The driver of a truck transporting disassembled outposts from the Turkish “Murek” observation post in the north of Hama, was shot dead by Syrian Regime forces.
According to the information obtained by the Syrian Observatory, the truck driver was killed on the international road near the city of Saraqeb, as regime forces opened fired on a convoy of rented trucks. The Syrian trucks entered from the area of Al-Tarnaba and were heading to Saraqeb to reach the international M5 road which stretches from Damascus-Aleppo.
The SOHR included the information that the trucks were carrying the disassembled Turkish outposts from the Murek observation post in a regime-controlled area in the northern countryside of Hama. It is worth noting that the observation post in Murek was the largest Turkish military post in northern Hama and the Turks had been stationed there for nearly two years and four months.
While the evacuation of the Murek observation post is underway, it is reminded that Erdogan had repeatedly warned regime forces to leave all areas captured since April 2019, and threatened to expel regime forces in the case that they do not withdraw.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has also monitored the entry of a Turkish military column via Kafr Losin crossing, north of Idlib, heading towards the “Putin-Erdogan” area, while Turkish vehicles headed towards the Joseph area in Jabal al-Zawiya.
