Lately, many spies and espionage cells operating in favour of Turkish MIT in Rojava and east of Syria have been captured during the operations conducted by the Special Forces branch of the Internal Security Forces. A traitor by the name of Hamo was caught during the operation and was made to confess how he surrendered his honour and cooperated with the enemy. The element was captured in Kobanê, an area which is under the indirect attack of Turkey, where thousands of intelligence agents are assumed to be operating.
In the interview, Hamo said that he was born in the village of Balak in the Kobanê canton, where he had been working as an org player. In 2013, the traitor travelled to Hewlêr in southern Kurdistan where he stayed for three years, and later to Turkey after the war against ISIS had begun
The traitor added that he lived in Antalya for three years, where he met other people from Kobanê and started to play the org instrument at their weddings and parties.
“One day, while I was on my way from Rihaniye to Adnaniye, the vehicle I was in was stopped by the Turkish Police. When they checked my mobile phone they found a photo of a Kurdish martyr, accusing me of being a member of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, so I was arrested.”
Hamo noted that the police demanded a guarantor for his release and that the police had told he needed to leave Turkey. He explained that a man from Kobanê called Mohamed Abu Alo bailed him. Per the demand of the MIT, Hamo gave a full account of everything he knows about Rojava and was threatened to be sent to prison if he did not agree to follow the orders given to him once he entered. After a period of time, he was sent to Kobanê via Jarablus crossing point to start his service in the MIT inside Kobanê.
Hamo stressed that the Turkish MIT asked him to get information about the locations of points of the SDF, and to leak information about what kinds of work is being carried out. The traitor emphasised that the MIT demanded information especially on fighters from Bakur (Turkey-occupied northern Kurdistan).
The element explained that after returning to Kobanê, he joined the Syrian Democratic Forces and saw military training for a few weeks before returning home and getting into contact with the MIT representative Mohamed Abu Alo. After being ordered to send photos and information, the element confessed to have exposed the location of a point belonging to the internal security forces, a place in the city and the location of a burial ground for martyrs.
Hamo stated that Abu Alo contacted him and told him that two people need to be crossed from the border, and gave him the phone number of a person named Baran. Baran told the traitor the locations of the people, one man and one woman, who were to be crossed. The man, named Agit, “was approximately 23-24 years old” the element explained. The traitor received 2000 Turkish Liras for transporting the two people from the border.
Receiving a final call from the MIT representative, the traitor was told to wait at Arin Mirkan square where he was to meet someone. The traitor was arrested by the Internal Security forces here.
Hamo concluded his admissions by expressing his regret towards his country and people, saying:” I have committed a deadly mistake, on which I appeal to all the misled to return to their guidance and derail the treason path, it is an unforgivable mistake.”
