Per the request of the fascist Public Prosecutor’s Office in Bursa, the Peoples Leader Abdullah Öcalan and the 3 other prisoners on İmralı island were banned from seeing their lawyers. The 6-month ban was coincidentally revealed after it was held effective on September 23.
Lawyers of Peoples Leader Abdullah Öcalan have been prevented from going to İmralı Island since July 27, 2011 for various reasons.
After an 8-year period of aggravated isolation, hunger strikes and death fasts were initiated by over 7,000 people under the leadership of Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair Leyla Güven. The actions which were started by Leyla spread to all prisons in Turkey, Kurdistan and Europe, forcing the fascist Turkish state to allow visitations with the leader of the people, Abdullah Ocalan, on May 2, 2019.
