The racist police officer who killed George Floyd on a street in Minneapolis by suffocating him was released on bail for $1 million. The racist officer had kept his knee pressed on the neck of George Floyd for 9 minutes, before George Floyd was eventually immortalised.
According to reports, the courts ruling includes the decision of Chauvin’s inability to work in the security sector again, not to contact the Floyd family and revocation of his gun permits.
Three other police officers, who were detained on charges of aiding the Floyd murder, were also released on bail following the massacre that sparked nationwide anti-racist protests. The hearing of the Floyd case will be held on March 8, 2021.
