BEHDİNAN, SOUTHERN KURDISTAN
Warrior Dilpak Hêlîn, now a martyr, was filmed describing Martyr Brusk whom she met with in Zap and later fought alongside in Heftanin.
Martyr Dilpak Hêlîn explained the following about Martyr Brusk:
“When we first saw each other, we were in the Zap area. All the friends were constantly talking about Comrade Brusk. I was wondering what kind of friend Comrade Brusk is. So I had such a curiosity about where Comrade Brusk was from.
After a while, I went on a mission and got to know Comrade Brusk there. When one looked at Comrade Brusk, you felt as if you had known each other for ten years, even though we had never met. His personality was a personality of this colour. His questions, his curiosity were in this direction. What struck me the most was Comrade Brusk’s questioning of everything. His curiosity showed that he was in a true pursuit of freedom.
He was always in an effort to improve, he would recommend make this mountain like this and make this hill like that. So he was always in search of life. When you looked into his eyes, you could see the rays of freedom flying out of his eyes.
One day, when he was on the Herekol side, a call was made to the friends over the radio. That voice did not seem foreign to me, I knew instantly that it was Comrade Brusk. He asked the friends to come urgently over the radio. He said that there was a note for us. We, two friends, got ready immediately and went down. When we got there, we saw Comrade Brusk with his gun is in his hand and his binocular around his neck. He had killed a mountain goat. He said, come and take your meat, this is your urgent note.
In other words, it was not possible for a person to be so thoughtful of their comrades to this degree. He affected us very much.”
