BEHDİNAN, SOUTHERN KURDISTAN
The Peoples’ Protection Forces (HPG) shared details the action carried out in the Iskenderun district of Hatay on October 26. The forces also included the information that a sabotage action was carried out in the Bagok region of Mêrdin. A translation of the statement is as follows:
“On October 26, two of our professional guerrilla teams carried out a targeted action in the Iskenderun district of Hatay. The information being spread through the press outlets of the colonizers in relation to the action is fabricated. More detailed information about the action will be shared with the public once clarified.
The presence and struggle of the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla, which is fighting according to a new style of guerrillaism, scares the genocidal fascist Turkish state. As they have confessed, it is not possible for the guerrilla to be removed from Amanos. This is a colonial dream. The Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla will continue its struggle with great determination wherever necessary until the march for a Free Leadership, and a Free Kurdistan is crowned with victory.
Our forces carried out a successful sabotage action against the Botaş Oil Pipeline that passed through the Bagok region of Mêrdîn at 13:00 on October 28. As a result of this action, the pipeline at the site was completely destroyed.
The operation wich was launched by the invading Turkish state in the villages of Gizê, Zaîte, Tuxubê, Gûzereşê, Sirta Helwesîs and Sirta Pîrê in the Çelê district of Colemêrg on October 14 and Şehid Egid Hill was completely withdrawn on 24 October.
The invading Turkish army carried out air strikes against Medya Defense Zones. The details of the attacks are as follows:
- On October 24, at 18:00, the village of Yekmalê in the Bergarê area of the Garê region was bombed by planes.
- On October 24, at 18:30, in the Kolit area of the Xakurkê region, the planes of the occupying Turkish state bombarded the area while our civilians were carrying out their daily work. Later, the same area was bombed with howitzers and mortars. Though our civilians did not experience any loss of life as a result of these bombardments, their vehicles were destroyed, and they suffered material damage.
- On October 25, at 04:30, the Çemrobotkî village in the Meyrokê area of the Garê region was bombed by planes.
- On October 26, at 12:50 pm, the Letter T area of the Zap region was bombed by planes.
- On October 26, at 13:00, the Çemço area in the Zap region was bombed by planes.
- On October 27, at 05:30, the surroundings of Kani Ohran village in the Siyanê area of the Garê region were bombed with planes.
- On October 28, at 16:30, the Stêvra Jêr district in Kaniya Contra, in the Meyrokê area of the Garê region, was bombed by planes.
- On October 28 at 18:40, the Çemço area of the Zap region and the Sida area of the Zap region were bombed with warplanes on the same day.
We did not experience any loss in these attacks.”
