STRASBOURG, FRANCE
TCŞ and TEKO-JIN activists carried out an action in front of the Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT) headquarters to draw attention to the absolute isolation being imposed in Imrali Prison for 21 years. The action was carried out on the basis of reminding the CPT of their responsibilities.
Young people, who hung banners at the entrance of the council called on the CPT to take action. The banner, written in French, read: “CPT, your silence kills! Abdullah Öcalan is subjected to complete isolation! CPT, we must react to respect human rights! ”
The young people who carried out the action, expressed the following to our agency:
“We do not accept the isolation of Rêber APO. We do not forgive any country or institution that was involved in the interstate conspiracy and served fascism. We will not remain unresponsive wherever we are, until the isolation imposed on our Leader by the AKP-MHP special war government in Imrali is over, until the physical freedom of the Rêber APO is ensured and fascism is removed from Kurdistan, we will continue our fight with such actions. ”
