In Austria’s capital Vienna, Young Woman’s Struggle and Revolutionary Youth Movement activists held a rally to protest the isolation being imposed on People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan. Activists demanded freedom for Öcalan.
The demonstration, organized within the scope of the “Bi Hev Re Serhildan” move, started with a rally at Stephansplatz in Vienna with a minute’s silence for the martyrs of the Kurdistan revolution. At the rally, where the posters of People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan were held, banners with the words “TEKO-JIN”, “Let’s rise together against fascism and isolation” and “Let’s rise together for the freedom of Leader APO” were carried.
The slogans “Long live Öcalan” and “Freedom for Öcalan, status for Kurdistan” were frequently chanted in German at the rally, where the declarations regarding September 1 and the isolation imposed on People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan were read.
