The Jinên Tîrêjên Rojê Initiative claimed responsibility for actions taken in a list of places in Istanbul, on 11 and 12 September. The written statement they released are as follows:
“On September 11, 4 luxury vehicles belonging to AKP fascists were set on fire by our units in Kozyatağı, Istanbul.
On September 11, a sabotage action took place in the car sales gallery of a fascist businessman and member of the AKP in Istanbul, Atasehir. The shop was severely damaged and 6 luxury vehicles burned to ashes.
On September 12, our units organized an action against the plastic production warehouse belonging to the fascist AKP members in Istanbul, Şile. As a result of the action, the warehouse burned to ashes, and 2 vehicles belonging to the warehouse owner were burned and destroyed by our units.”
The statement also included the following message:
“The fascist Turkish state has brought the torture and isolation it has been carrying out in Imrali for the past 20 years to its highest level yet. No news is received from Leader Apo, who counts as the will of millions and leads the PKK struggle and determines the balances in the Middle East. The isolation and torture imposed on our Leader, who is our red line, is a reason for war for us.
We, as Kurdish youth, do not accept this isolation just as millions of people resisted and defended Leader Apo when the February 15 conspiracy took place, we are now declaring that any action in metropolitan areas is legitimate. We should not sleep comfortably while our comrades are oppressed in dungeons. Enemy forces and fascists should not be comfortable in their homes, in police stations and everywhere.
We have entered a new era, a new era of actıons in metropolises and everywhere. We salute the YPS, YPS-JIN, Revenge Units, Children of Fire Initiative and HBDH Militia, who resist in the metropolises durıng this move of victory for their resistance and activism, and we invite all young people to organize around these units and initiatives and march to victory.”
