Democratic Society Congress (DTK) co-chair Leyla Güven was arrested after being stopped by the fascist Turkish police on her way home. She was taken to the anti-terror branch of the police department to give a statement.
Leyla Güven arrived yesterday in the Colemerg province where she joined a press briefing with the Peace Mothers to call for peace. After visiting the tradespeople and announcing participation in the “Em Xwe Diparêzin” [We Defend Ourselves] campaign launched by the Free Women’s Movement (TJA) campaign, Güven left the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) headquarters this afternoon. The Kurdish politician was detained on her way home.
