Rezan Sarıca, Raziye Turgut, Serbay Köklü and İbrahim Bilmez, the lawyers of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan, applied to visit the Leader.
The application to visit the leader who is being kept under isolation in a prison on Imrali island since 1999, was made to the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Bursa.
Leader Öcalan’s lawyers were able to meet him for the first time after an interval of 8 years on May 2, 2018, then on May 22, June 12 and June 18, and finally on August 7, 2019. No positive or negative response has been given to any of the 103 applications made since the last interview.
