VIENNA, AUSTRIA
Young Women’s Struggle (TEKO-JIN) and Revolutionary Youth activists, organized a march as part of the “End to Occupation, Isolation, Fascism!” and “Revolt Together” moves.
Kurdish youth and people from Kurdistan gathered at Karlsplatz at 18:30. After a minute of silence in commemoration of the behalf of all martyrs of revolution, a speech was made on behalf of Revolutionary Youth.
During the speech, attention was drawn to the political genocide attacks of the Turkish state, the occupation in Kurdistan and the resistance by guerrillas in Heftanin. Speaking about the responsibility which must be taken during a period of such intense attacks, the spokesperson made a call to “revolt together.”
At 19:00, Kurdish youth and the people of Kurdistan marched within the scope of the “Revolt Together” move, holding the YPJ and YPG flags as well as the posters of People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan. The march also included banners reading “Against Fascism and Isolation, Revolt Together.”
The young people, who wanted to draw attention to the attacks of political genocide, carried HDP flags chanting “Dictator Erdogan”, “Fascist Erdogan” and “Shoulder to shoulder against fascism”.
The absolute isolation imposed on the Peoples Leader Abdullah Öcalan, who was the focus of the march, was drawn attention to with the German slogans “Long live Öcalan” and “Freedom for Öcalan, peace in Kurdistan”.
Approximately 250 people attended the march, supported by many left and socialist organizations and groups.
