AFYON, TURKEY

A group of Kurdish workers were attacked by Turkish fascists for no reason other than their identities. The incident took place in the district of Dinar at 19.30 yesterday evening.

The Kurdish brothers, who were engaged in construction work, were fired at with a gun by an unknown person. 25-year-old worker Özkan died as a result of the fire opened, while Fırat and Emrah were injured. The injured workers were taken to the district state hospital.

The relatives of the attacked workers who wanted to go to Afyon, to see their family members were blocked by fascist Turkish police at the entrance of Afyon, while other relatives were stopped at the exit of Erciş.

It was also reported that a police official who was following up on the crime told the injured workers to “take your corpse and get out.”
