Workers in a hazelnut field who had travelled from Mêrdin to Sakarya to work were attacked by fascist employers and villagers this morning.
Barış Demir, one of the victims, said, “We went to the hazelnut field to work in the morning. The employer came called us a “herd of dogs” so we left.”
Barış said that they were threatened by the employer who said “Did you think this is your country, this is our country.”
The young worker continued, “They attacked us. 8 people attacked 3 people with sticks.”
