The SDF shared in a statement, that an arsenal belonging to the Turkish intelligence agency MIT was discovered in Derazor. The information shared by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) is as follows:
“The Counter Terrorism Units (YAT) seized a large amount of ammunition and explosives prepared by the MIT, in order to create chaos in the areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration, in an operation carried out on September 02, 2020.
The MIT aimed to create a chaotic environment, which they had previously attempted to do in Derazor but failed, in Raqa. With this operation, the preparations of MIT were voided.
Ammunition seized:
- 83 mines
- 50 bomb setups
- 1 gun
- 82 pistol bullets
- 2 silencer guns
- 2 AK-47
- 8 AK-47 chargers
- 700 AK-47 shells ”
