The press office for the Peoples’ Protection Forces, the HPG, shared details of the actions carried out by the guerrilla forces and the invasion attacks of the fascist Turkish state. The HPG shared the following:
GEVER
“In the morning hours of September 13, the invading Turkish army launched a wide-ranging invasion operation in the villages of Kelê, Nebar, Xurakana Jêr and Xurakana Jor in the Esendere town of Hakkari’s Gever (Yüksekova) district. During the operation, intense clashes took place between our forces and the invaders.
Our forces, which intervened in the invaders who wanted to advance in the field, organized effective actions targeting the operation units. In these actions, a total of 7 invaders, including one high rank, were punished and many occupants were injured.
Our comrades Welat and Nidal, who heavily hit the invaders during the ongoing operation, were martyred by fighting heroically until their last bullets. Detailed credentials of our martyred comrades will be shared with the public later.”
ŞEMZÎNAN
“Within the scope of the Martyr Bager and Martyr Ronya Revolutionary Move, our forces carried out an action against the invading Turkish army positioned in the Benê Strait in the Rubarok area of Hakkari’s Şemzînan (Şemdinli) district on September 12 at 05.10. Enemy positions targeted from 2 separate arms were hit effectively.
In the action, 3 enemy positions were destroyed, while the number of enemies punished and wounded could not be determined. Following the action, the invading Turkish army bombed the area with mortars and howitzers.”
QILEBAN
“On September 9, the invading Turkish army launched a comprehensive operation in the areas of Deriyê Qaçê, Çemê Xeçkê, Gundê Sîran, Gundê Mehrê and Gundê Hozê in the Kela Memê district of Şırnak’s Uludere (Qileban) district.
The invading Turkish army, which carried out investigation and bombardmment activities in the area, retreated without gaining any results on 12 September.”
AIR ATTACK
“The invading Turkish army carried out air strikes against Medya Defense Zones. Details of the attacks performed are as follows:
On September 12, at 10:00, warplanes bombed the Benê area in the Avashin region.
On September 14, at 16.20, warplanes bombed the Çemço area in the Zap region. The fire that broke out as a result of the bombardment continues.
We have not experienced any losses in these attacks. “
