YPS-JIN Coordination evaluated in a statement the systematised violence against women and children, highlighting the increasing rates of femicide, rape, assault among other forms of violence which are not limited to a few individuals.
The women’s branch of the Civil Defence Unit (YPS) expressed that the problem takes its source from the rapist, male-dominant mentality of the state. The women emphasised that this mentality which has been aggrevated by the jihadist AKP regime should be targeted everywhere.
The statement made by YPS-JIN is as follows:
“Violence against women and children has reached its peak especially in the last period. The aggression of men against women derives from the rapist state culture. As AKP fascism tries to organize itself in society; murder, plunder, lies, individualism, dictatorship and persecution are on the rise. Because the AKP forms itself on these foundations.
Fascist President Erdogan paved the way for these attacks and continues to construct this path. The problem is not just the people, the real problem is the rapist state, its government and mentality.
As long as this mentality continues to keep itself alive as a government; The Istanbul conventions will continue to be abolished, a curfew will be imposed for women, child marriages will be normalized, prostitution will increase, women will be viewed as accessories, women will be stabbed in the streets, their bodies will be burned in barrels after being cut into pieces, or they will disappear like Gülistan Doku.
Women are massacred because of her husband’s jealousy, her refusal to be together, the dress she wears, her not cooking, going out, a wrong word or any such excuse, and these massacres are carried out in the streets in front of everyone so that society gets used to it.
According to the state, all men should see this as their natural right, and women should take steps accordingly. This is called genderism and derives its origin from the sexist state. The mother-woman, who is the most sacred being of life, is turned into a slave of men and a childbearing machine by the AKP regime.
Women should not bow to this. They should not accept this situation and develop their self-defense against the AKP fascism and aggressive-rapist male mentality. The woman has the right to protect herself against physical and ideological attacks of the State-Man.
Women should not be included in the AKP system, they should stop serving the institutions and organizations of this mentality and should turn to counter-action. The spirit created by Las Tesis in Chile and spread all over the world must be recaptured.
As YPS JIN, the AKP fascist system, its partners and people who serve this mentality will be our target. We clearly warn those who live off the bodies of women, those who practice state fascism against women and children, and those who advocate this mentality.
Our call to all women regardless of whether they are Kurdish, Turkish, Armenian, Assyrian, Circassian or Laz is; Oppose the rapist akp government, women must be activists. There is no end to the massacres of women until this government is destroyed. Young women in particular should act, organize themselves as a cell and take action against the existing state system and mentality. The AKP fascism, which is the forerunner of this mentality, should be targeted everywhere.”
