People gathered under the leadership of youth in many regions of Rojava started celebrations of the August 15 Resurrection. The Youth and Young Women’s organisations in Rojava announced on the occasion, the launch of their new move.
People who gathered under the leadership of the youth in Dêrik, Girgê Legê, Qamişlo, Hesekê, Dirbêsiyê and other affiliated districts began to celebrate enthusiastically. The Revolutionary Youth Movement and the Young Women’s Union started the “We Will Win Absolutely” move against fascism and occupation with press statements held in Kobanê, Qamishlo, Til Temir, Dêrik cities and Serêkaniyê’s Zirgan districts.
In a statement celebrating the 36th anniversary of the August 15 breakthrough, the youth of Kurdish, Arab, Syriac, Turkmen, Armenian and Yazidi origin were called on to turn all squares into areas of struggle against fascism and occupation.
The statement included the following statements:
“Today, a crisis and process heavier than ever before is unfolding for the Kurdish people and all peoples in the Middle East. Colonialist, dictatorial, capitalist states carry out policies of massacre, genocide and assimilation against the Kurdish people and the peoples of the region.
As the Revolutionary Youth Movement and the Young Women’s Union, we say to all those who resist against this concept of total genocide in Kurdistan, especially those in Heftanin who fight for freedom, that “We Will Win Absolutely.”
Despite the coronavirus process that continues as a biological war and all its difficulties, we declare our victory move against invasion and fascism.
With this move, we call on all Kurdish, Arab, Syriac, Turkmen, Armenian, Êzidî youth and members of the people. We call on everyone living in every street and square in Northern and Eastern Syria to the “We Will Win Absolutely” move against fascism and occupation.
Again, we state that we will be united with the guerrillas fighting against fascism and occupation in the mountains of Kurdistan, especially Heftanin, with the spirit of victory on August 15, and we invite our people to turn all areas into resistance areas just like in Heftanin with the spirit of mobilization.
It is possible for the youth of the peoples who struggle for freedom to break up the fascist and occupying systems and create a free life by flowing into the fields with the spirit of serhildan. It is by no means acceptable today to remain silent against occupation and fascism.
On this basis, as the Revolutionary Youth Movement and the Young Women’s Union, we will lead the process with the motto “We Will Win Absolutely” with the spirit of mobilization. We invite the youth organizations of all peoples to lead this move to victory, together. “
