The HPG (Peoples’ Protection Forces) Press Center shared in a written statement that YJA Star forces carried out actions against the invading Turkish army on August 5 within the scope of Cenga Heftanin Revolutionary Campaign, and shared the following details:
“At 07:45, our forces carried out an action against a unit of the invading Turkish army positioned between Tepê Dupişk and Martyr Berivan Hill. In this action, in which the enemy unit was hit with full accuracy, a total of 9 enemy soldiers, one of which was a high-rank, was punished and 6 soldiers were injured.
At 14:30, our forces targeted the occupants of Martyr Berxwedan Hill in the Xantur area. In this action where an enemy position on the hill was hit with full accuracy, 4 enemy soldiers were punished while the position was completely destroyed.
Following these actions, the invading Turkish army removed punished and injured soldiers by Skorsky helicopters from the area. ”
AIRSTRIKES
HPG released the following information in relation to Turkish airstrikes:
“On 5 August at 21.30, the warplanes bombed the areas of Küçük Cilo, Kurojaro and Çemço.
At 9:00 am on 6 August, warplanes bombed the Küçük Cilo area again.
We did not experience any loss in these bombardments. ”
