The statement of the European Kurdish Women’s Movement (TJK-E) is as follows:
“As the AKP-MHP fascist bloc’s policy of total aggression and annihilation in Kurdistan continues, the rape culture of the male-dominated mentality becomes even more systematic and overt. The hatred of Erdogan and his supporters is not limited to the invasion attacks in 4 parts of Kurdistan.
The attacks, developed by rapist officers and soldiers specially assigned to the provinces of Kurdistan, reveal how deep and centric the concept of war is.
The expert sergeant Musa Orhan, who systematically raped a woman in Batman, had promised the young woman that nothing would happen to him if she told about the rape. Statements released later by Soysuz supported this claim.
The rape of a 17-year-old woman by an officer in Van immediately after that case, is an indication that the ‘rape policy’ of the Turkish state is in effect. Erdogan, who ordered the rape, has always targeted resisting people and resisting women.
The leadership’s paradigm of women’s freedom becomes more vital,universalizing the hope of creating an alternative life, and growing it’s place in the lives of more and more people all over the world.
In Turkey, all inhuman practices, pressures and arrests faced by society are doomed to collapse with Erdogan and the fascism he represents, in the face of the resisting Kurdish woman.
We call on all segments of society to resist against fascism, especially women from Kurdistan, and against the state’s rape culture.
Humanity will win with the resistance of the woman.
Keeping silent against the culture of rape means being a part of the crime.
