Despite being warned, the Turkish state continues to hide Covid-19 rates by registering the reasons for death of diseased patients as “contagious disease” or “natural reasons.”
Mithat Bal, who was being treated for coronavirus in Çorum, died as a result of the disease. The cause of Bal’s death was recorded as “contagious disease”. His mother, who is also being treated in intensive care, stated that Mithat was tested negative for the virus on the autopsy report.
While criticism continues that the number of coronavirus cases appears to be low due to fraudulent statistics, the cause of death of an 82-year-old patient, who died while receiving coronavirus treatment, was recorded as “infectious disease (abnormal death)”. These fraudulent reports are more generally prepared for the elderly so to not draw attention.

Mahmut Bal, who traveled to Çorum from Izmir to get his father’s body, said, “My father has been receiving coronavirus treatment for 20 days. But when we saw the death report, we were shocked. They said we can take our corpse. They said that you can take your corpse only by wearing a mask and gloves.”
