CENTRAL NEWS
Invasive attacks by the Turkish Army and the Turkish Intelligence Agency (MIT) continue in southern Kurdistan after being initiated in the name of Operation “Claw-Eagle” on June 17. The KDP has been actively participating in this occupation operation, more so than previous ones, going further and beyond to aid the killing of Kurdish guerrillas.
The betrayal has been captured more than once in footage which has surfaced from the area. One video, in particular, drew great anger.
On August 22, a video caused international outcry after the Peshmergas of the KDP were captured bombing the camps used by PKK guerrillas. The guerrillas in the region had been and continue to fight against Turkish occupation in southern Kurdistan and were the only force to protect the Yezidis in Shengal after the Peshmerga ran away. The KDP, knowing that guerrillas have played a determining role as a barrier against Turkish occupation in many parts of Kurdistan, aided the killing of other Kurds to enable Turkish occupation breaking its own record on the scale of traitorness.
The group which was filmed was revealed to have been under the command of Raif Soro, clearing mines to open the way for Turkish soldiers to advance.
While it becomes clearer every day that the Turkish state could not invade Southern Kurdistan without the support of the KDP, it was revealed that a force of the KDP under the command of an element named Raif Soro, is being used to clear the mines placed by the guerrillas in the areas of Orê and Tepe Tange.
Suffering heavy blows, the Turkish army continues to operate through the hand of the KDP to gain the coordinates of guerrilla points, which are being given by Raif’s group to the MİT personnel carrying out activities in the field.
Throwing villagers to the front lines
As helicopters belonging to the invading Turkish army continue to be shot down by the guerrillas, with each helicopter dozens of soldiers are also being lost. To cover this loss, the fascist Turkish army is using ‘Village Guards’ to continue its operation. The force being referred to by the Turkish state as village guards is a group of paid villagers with no military training.
It has been learned that the ‘Village Guards’ operating in the areas of Jirki, Sêgırkê, Bêjehê, Mêrgehê, Hedrisê and Roboski are being brought from Şırnak and their salaries are being tripled to convince them to fight in the “Claw-Eagle” operation.
The areas which the guards are being sent to are areas which the soldiers of the Turkish army are too afraid to go to.
HPG Warned
The HPG, the army of the PKK, had previously warned Village Guards to stay away, advising them not to participate in invasion operations being led by the enemy.
HPG (Peoples Protection Forces) had noted in previous statements that these Village Guards and Contras are being sent by the Turkish army to areas which are dangerous for even the best trained soldiers. These fractions were called to cease counter-activity immediately.
Again, the HPG Heftanin Provincial Command warned the village guards who participated in the Turkish invasion attacks in a written statement. The Command said:
“The leaders of this operation are village guards from the villages of Bejüh, Mergeh, Hedriş and Kerör. We say to these scoundrels that they will pay for their actions. Because you burned the homes of our people, your whole existence is a target for us.”
In addition, the KCK (Kurdistan Societies Union) shared in a statement on 23 August that the KDP has become the conductor of the purge against the PKK, and that the Turkish state and KDP are working together in the plan to liquidate the PKK. The Union also informed that the KDP and Turkish state wanted to include Iraq in this liquidation plan.
