BASEL, SWITZERLAND
Kurdish and internationalist youth organized a march in Basel, Switzerland, with the call of Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger and Jinên Ciwan ên Têkoşer. In the march where the Turkish state’s invasion and genocide attacks against Kurdistan were protested, freedom was demanded for Peoples Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
The action, organized within the scope of the “Bi Hev Re Serhildan” (Revolt Together) move, started at Claraplatz on Friday, August 21 at 23 where the young people gathered.
A large banner with the words “Bi Hev Re Serhildan” was unfurled in the action, which featured a large TCŞ flag and “antifa international” banners.
Protesting Turkish fascism, fireworks and colored fumes were lit during the action, where slogans of support for the Cenga Heftanin resistance and Rojava revolution were chanted.
Around 100 young people attended the action, which is also supported by the Rojava Committee Basel, RJB, Young Struggle and Antifa. The action marked by the “Bi Hev Re Serhildan” move ended in Dreirosenbrücke after a 1-hour march in the city.
