A worker in Bursa burned himself alive in front of the governor’s office after being pushed to the limits by economic difficulties.
Güven’s business was disrupted by the closure of the road to a tourist destination in Bursa. According to Güven’s report, companies that wanted to rent snow vehicles pressured the Bursa Governorship that the road was dangerous and that it should be closed.
Unable to endure the deterioration of his business any longer, Güven burned himself in front of the governor’s office. Güven was later taken to the hospital after the fire was extinguished.
