Another group, this one consisting of 14 young women, announced that they will be joining the PKK in a press release. The young women emphasised that the participation of young women is the biggest act of revenge against the rapist Turkish state.
Under the slogan ‘Serhildana Jinên Ciwan Tolhildane!’ (the uprising of young women is revenge), the young people joined the Kurdistan Workers Party after a move for mobilisation was started by the Young Womens Union.
The young women declared:
“As Yekitiya Jinên Ciwan (Young Womens Union), we are starting a new move with the slogan ‘Serhildana Jinên Ciwan Tolhildane’ (the uprising of the young woman is revenge.)
The occupation of the fascist Turkish state continues in 4 parts of Kurdistan. Accordingly, as young women, our direction is turned to the mountains of Kurdistan.
Today, our HPG and YJA-Star headquarters in Heftanin are calling out to us, we respond to their call and declare that we are heading to war in the mountains of Kurdistan. We are giving our direction to this war. For the revenge of the children of Kurdistan! For revenge for the land of Kurdistan!”
