‘Fierce Kurdish Youth’ initiative claim responsibility for fire in Konak, Izmir

In a statement they made, a new initiative launched by the name of Fierce Kurdish youth announced that they set fire to an area in the Konak district of Izmir against the policies of the occupying Turkish state towards Kurdistan.

The youth shared: “With the growth of the fire in the area, tens of hectares of land have turned to ash. The forest area, which was intervened by dozens of fire trucks and helicopters, was tried to be extinguished after hours.”

In relation to the reasons behind their action, the Initiative wrote: “As the youth of Kurdistan, we grow angrier with every plan the occupier Turkish state crushes in Kurdistan. We promise that for every tree burnt in Kurdistan, we will burn tens of trees in the Turkish cities.”
