The Revolutionary Youth Movement (DGH) and Revolutionary Young Women Movement (DGK-H) stated that their units carried out actions in the Rezan district of Amed within the framework of the ‘Red Revenge’ move.
In the DGH statement, Martyr Eris Mordem and Martyr Zana Bextiyar units informed that their units carried out actions at two different points in the Rezan district of Amed on the evening of August 20, and emphasized that their actions were within the framework of the Red Revenge move.
The statement made by DGH and DGK-H is as follows:
“In the evening hours on 20 August, an action was carried out by Martyr Eris Mordem unit against police officers positioned in front of the Closed Prison in Amed’s Bağlar district with sound bombs.
While there was great panic among prison officers, many special operations police and armored vehicles were dispatched to the area after the action. Our units managed to safely leave the area after it was blockaded.
Again on August 20, in the evening hours, Martyr Zana Bextiyar unit carried out an action with Molotov cocktails against a cash dispenser of the PTT branch in Bağlar district of Amed. The ATM, hit with Molotov cocktails, was destroyed. While entering a zone blockaded by police, our unit safely left the area.
Our actions are aimed at saluting our Red Revenge move, and we inform that the actions will continue. All institutions and persons affiliated with the AKP-MHP fascist government in Kurdistan will be victims of our Red anger.
Anyone who serves the fascist mindset that carries out special war policies on Kurdish youth and people in Kurdistan will be our primary goal. The people who spread prostitution or drugs in the cities of Kurdistan and the places connected to them will be the target of our revenge. ”
