The Children of Fire Initiative shared in a written statement that it is “time for revenge” against the occupation and persecution being committed on Kurdish lands. The Initiative shared details of the actions they have taken in 5 different cities over the span of three days.
The young people shared that an olive oil factory belonging to fascists was set on fire in Gebze district of Kocaeli on August 7. On August 8, Initiative members burned both a large furniture factory in Manisa and a Toyota factory in Sakarya which served parts to the fascist Turkish police. Both factories alongside another factory which caught fire turned into ashes. “Great material damage was caused to AKP fascists,” the initiative shared.
“On the same day, a recycling warehouse was burned in Istanbul Kartal,” the youth continued, “it was stated that a cafe-bar next to the warehouse was also burned.”
Finally, on August 9, the Initative burnt a pallet factory in the Gebze district of Kocaeli.”
