ISTANBUL, TURKEY
Jinên Tirejên Rojê Initiative announced details of actions it carried out as retaliation against the Shengal massacre. The information given by the initiative is as follows:
“ISIS gangs supported and fed by the fascist Turkish state launched an invasion and genocide attack on Shengal on August 3, 2014. Thousands of women, children, young and old civilians were murdered and abducted . Hundreds of women were sold and raped in slave markets.
Today, the same mentality is driven by the AKP regime. Women are being slaughtered and raped. We know that they are a representative and a continuation of the ISIS mentality, but neither ISIS could end these people and take away their freedom, nor can the Turkish state end the Kurdish Freedom Struggle. We will make those accountable for the genocides and massacres pay.”
In relation to the actions, the Initiative shared:
“On July 30, 4 vehicles belonging to AKP-MHP fascists were burned and destroyed in Okmeydan, Istanbul.
On July 31, 3 personal vehicles belonging to rapists and collaborators of the AKP were burned and destroyed in Kavacık, Istanbul.
On 31 July, our units carried out actions against vehicles belonging to the Idealist Hearths in Kadıköy, Istanbul. As a result of the action, 2 vehicles were destroyed.
On August 1, 2 vehicles belonging to the AKP-MHP gang were burned and destroyed in Tuzla, Istanbul.
The actions we carried out were retaliation for the Shengal massacre on 3 August 2014 by ISIS jihadists.
We are the voices of the raped women and children who were murdered, we are the fighters of Zerdeşt Şengal and Arin Şengal. ”
