In a written statement by HPG, the People’s Protection Forces, shared: “our forces, within the scope of Martyr Bager and Martyr Ronya Revolutionary Move, organized an action against a vehicle belonging to the occupiers moving from Bezelê station of Colêmerg to Şemzînan (Şemdinli) district at 2:30 pm on August 2”.
HPG added: “In this action where the enemy vehicle was effectively hit, the number of soldiers punished and injured as a result of the action could not be determined.”
OPERATION IN YUKSEKOVA
According to the same statement, on August 2, the invading Turkish army launched a comprehensive occupation operation in the Esendere area of the Gever district of Colêmerg. HPG added that “details about the operation which is still ongoing will be shared with the public as we obtain them.”
AIRSTRIKES
HPG-BİM also provided the following information: “On the morning of 3 August, the invading Turkish army bombed Geliyê Basya, Dirê Village and Hesenan valley areas of the Avashin region with howitzer and mortars. The fire which was started in the forest area as a result of these bombardments, still continues. ”
