In their statement, the HPG Press Office shared details of the actions taken by the guerrillas within the scope of Cenga Heftanin Revolutionary Move against the invasion operation launched by the invading Turkish army from the Media Defense Areas against the Heftanin region.
The HPG shared the following information:
“The invading Turkish army soldiers, who were moving around the village of Banike at 08:00, were taken under surveillence by our forces. The invading soldiers who wanted to enter the village of Banike were effectively shot at close range by our forces between the Pirbula and Banike areas.
5 invaders were detected to have been punished in this action.
Again, the 2nd arm of the invaders, who were moving in the area, were effectively hit by sabotage tactics after they were taken under surveillence by our forces. While 2 soldiers were identified to have been punished in this action, 3 soldiers were injured.
Our friends Mizgin and Zana, who fought sacrificially during the clashes and hit the invading forces effectively were martyred as a result of the air attack carried out by the invading Turkish army. Our friends had been in the field from the first day of the invasion operation, and showed great resistance.
The identities of our friends who were martyred will be shared with the public later.”
