BEHDINAN, SOUTHERN KURDISTAN
The statement made by HPG Press Center is as follows:
“1. In the morning hours of July 26, the invading Turkish army launched an invasion operation in the area of Stuna in Hakkari’s Çelê (Çukurca) district with the support of contras.
In this operation, clashes took place between our forces and the invading Turkish army. In these conflicts, 2 enemy soldiers were punished and 4 soldiers were injured.
Our comrades Delil and Şervan, who fought heroically against the enemy troops, were martyred.
2. Within the scope of the Martyr Bager and Martyr Ronya Revolutionary move, our forces carried out an action against the invading Turkish army positioned on the Koordine Hill in Hakkari’s Çelê (Çukurca) district on August 11 at 18:00.
The number of soldiers who were punished and wounded in this action, where enemy positions and shelters were effectively hit, could not be determined.
Again, within the scope of the revolutionary move, KBDH troops carried out an action against the enemy troops on the Xeregol Hill in Çelê on August 12. In this action, where enemy positions and shelters were targeted, 1 position was destroyed and 1 enemy soldier was punished.
3. At around 02:00 on August 11, the invading Turkish army launched an operation in the Kato Xelila area of the Çatak district of Van. The invading Turkish army organized bombardments on the area in the morning and our friends Destan and Rêber were martyred in these bombardments.
4. On August 11, at 19:00, our forces carried out an action against the invading Turkish army positioned in the Kêre Eynika area of Şırnak’s Cudi Mountain.
In this action, where the enemy unit was effectively hit at close range, 6 soldiers were punished and 1 soldier was injured. This action was carried out in order to greet the anniversary of the August 15 Initiative.”
