Footage has been obtained of the action carried out by Martyr Delal Amed Air Defense Unit of the People’s Protection Forces (HPG) against a Turkish outpost in Şeladize, Duhok.
The statement released earlier today by the HPG in relation to the action is as follows:
“Our Martyr Delal Amed Air Defense Units carried out an action against the invading Turkish army’s Sire outpost in Şeladize, in the Amediye district of Duhok, at 08:30 on 20 August.
In the action carried out, an explosive-laden aircraft successfully reached their targets and the determined targets were hit effectively. In this action, many invading Turkish soldiers were punished, but the exact number could not be clarified.
This successful action, carried out by our air defense units, was carried out in memory of Martyr Doğa ZILAN, the first martyr of our air defense units, and to salute the epic guerrilla resistance in Heftanin.”
