The Jinên Tîrêjên Rojê initiative shared details of actions they have carried out in different districts of Istanbul to greet the August 15th day of resurrection and stated that 6 vehicles were burned.
The statement made by the initiative is as follows;
“We are entering the 37th year of August 15th, the most important turning point in our struggle that has been developing under the leadership of Leader Apo and PKK for more than 40 years. We commemorate our heroic martyrs who created this resurrection breakthrough in the person of the legendary Commander Egid.
Turkish fascism belittled the freedom movement, stating “it will be dissolute soon they’re only a few people.” Today, that freedom movement is representing millions.
There is a reality that the struggle of Leader Apo and the PKK is changing the balance of the Middle East and the world. Today, the resistance flag initiated by Commander Egid is being carried by Ekin Wan, Arin Mirkan, Agit Garzan, and the martyrs of Heftanin: the Esmers, Amaras and Rüstems.
The freedom movement, which resists with the spirit of August 15, will destroy fascism such as in Heftanin and spread this spirit until the freedom of Kurdistan and Leader Apo. ”
The Initiative shared details of actions which they have carried out as follows:
“On August 9, our young women’s unit in Bayrampaşa, Istanbul, organized an action against a jointly used textile warehouse and a luxury vehicle belonging to the AKP and its barbarian ISIS partner. As a result of the action, the warehouse and vehicle were destroyed.
On August 9, our units organized an action against 3 vehicles belonging to fascists in Pendik, Istanbul. Vehicles that were first hit with hand-made explosives were destroyed by burning.
On 10 August, two vehicles belonging to fascists were burned and destroyed by our units in Istanbul Mecidiyeköy.
On August 11, a banner with a bomb attached was hung at the Marmaray stop in Istanbul Küçükçekmece between Halkalı and Gebze and the main street was closed to traffic for a while. Fascist policemen who came to the scene randomly fired live shots.
On August 13, an action was carried out with hand-made bombs against a police station in Istanbul K.Çekmece Kanarya district. After the explosions in the police station, there was great chaos and escapes, and our units who carried out the action safely retreated from the scene. Images and a more detailed explanation of this action will be made by our initiative later.
We, as units of JİNEN TİREJEN ROJE INITIATIVE, celebrate the resurrection on 15 August of all the resisting comrades, especially Leader Apo and our heroic martyrs, and the Kurdish people.”
