CENTRAL NEWS
A woman named Ceyda Yüksel was found dead in the house of a man named Serkan D. Her corpse, found in the house in the Bornova district of Izmir, was covered in open wounds created by shattered glass. The AKP propaganda arm, reporting the news, reflected the crime in a justifying light, emphasizing that Ceyda was drunk and that she invited a man she met from social media to her house.
According to the allegation, Ceyda Yüksel went to Serkans house after meeting him on a social media platform. While it remains unknown what happened in the house, shortly after Ceyda’s arrival the neighbours called the police and medical teams following the sounds of shattering glass and arguments rising from the house.
Medical teams who attended the site came to find a murder scene. It was determined that the woman died due to wounds opened by pieces of glass in various parts of her body, and that her arm had reached the point of rupture.
While murderer Serkan was detained regarding the incident, Ceyda’s lifeless body was taken to the morgue of the Izmir Forensic Medicine Institute after the prosecutor’s investigation.
Scandal
Media outlets of the rapist AKP ideology have been put under severe scrutiny for blaming the deceased woman for her death because she went to the house of a man she met through social media.
Just as the courts under the AKP rule have been absolving rapists and murderers of their crimes, and sometimes not even filing complaints made by the woman, the propaganda outlets of rapist AKP ideology have blamed Ceyda for being killed.
Putting emphasis on false, lewd allegations, the propaganda arms of the AKP dictatorship framed the the crime in a justifying light: “Ceyda Yüksel met a person she met on social media at her own home. After a short while, an argument started between Ceyda Yüksel and the suspect, who were determined to have drunk alcohol.”
