YJA Star Heftanîn Command released a statement in relation to the systematically increasing harassment and rape rates by officials of the rapist Turkish state, emphasising: “We will take the revenge of all women as YJA Star guerrillas in Heftanîn.”
YJA Star’s statement is as follows:
“The fascist Turkish state has been experiencing political, military, social and especially economic problems in recent years. To the extent that the state is stuck, it creates artificial contradictions and confusions in society, especially with vital moral values, dignity and honour.
The AKP-MHP fascist government transforms society and social consciousness through all kinds of invasive methods, unlawful torture and decisions, and thus hides its weakness and prolongs its life in power. It wants to confront society with chauvinist and racist discourses.
the operations being carried out in Libya, Idlib, Rojava, North and South Kurdistan, under the name of protection, are also to protect this reality. This is one reason for the operation that was started recentl in Heftanîn.
Against the attacks of the Turkish state, Kurdistan and the world are once again witnessing a unique and relentless resistance. Contemporary guerrillas, who built themselves with the new term strategy and the perspective of Leader Apo; “the biggest technology is the person,” are resisting in Heftanin.
The guerrilla fights for a handful of land in Heftanin for days and spread great fear in the heart of the enemy who is being confronted with these attacks. Undoubtedly, this war against the fascist Turkish state and the line of betrayal will make its mark on history.
The attacks in Heftanîn are not only aimed at destroying the Freedom Movement, but also at exploiting nature and destructing all areas of life. Both military and political operations, as well as genocide and orientation towards women and children are the results of the same policy. The women, children and martyrs of a country are both the foundation of society and spiritual values of society. The goal behind the rape of women and children and the destruction of the graves of martyrs is to break the will of Turkey and Kurdistan society.
In recent years rape and harassment in Kurdistan and Turkey are being systematised with the support of the AKP government. Although the Turkish state uses all its means and organizes political and military operations with different names and plans every year, it still cannot defeat the Freedom Movement.
The racist and sexist Turkish state started a mass wave of harassment and rape in Kurdistan simultaneously with the invasion operation in Kurdistan to break the will of the society. The latest incident in Şırnak also shows this reality. This event was planned specifically by the state. In fact, it is not a coincidence that the incident was carried out by a soldier.
Despite all the cruelties and massacres, the Botan region has opposed the Turkish state’s oppression and exploitation with its own will and resistance, and it has also been the place where the culture and traditions of Kurdishness are preserved.
A soldier who took part in the invasion of Afrin was specially selected to carry out this rape. All the people of Kurdistan, especially Botan’s resistant people, should be sensitive to these attacks. We greet the women and young people who do not accept these attacks and stand up with the spirit of Cenga Heftanin.
Undoubtedly, the resistance carried out in Heftanin responds to these dirty and male-dominated attacks. As YJA Star guerrillas in Heftanîn, we will avenge all women.
Female guerrillas, who give voice to this fervor with their actions and tactics, shoot with anger to avenge all women. There is a voice for women who cannot walk in the neighborhood, have been raped, have been subjected to violence at home, their rights have been violated in the workplace. With their enthusiastic and long hairs, guerrillas will crush the walls of the enemy with great courage and sacrifice. Each bullet fired is a woman’s revenge, a position is destroyed, the dominant male mentality is destroyed. This warlord is the warlord of all women.”
