ŞIRNEX
Local sources reported that an occupying Turkish sergeant raped a girl in Şırnex’s central Şaranlar site yesterday evening.
It was stated that the rapist was detained upon the reaction of those around him. He was taken to the Şırnex Provincial Security Directorate.
Hüseyin Kaçmaz from HDP shared the following:
“Last night in Şırnak (…) a 10 year old was subjected to sexual harassment by a specialist sergeant. We remain quiet when children are sleeping, not when they are being abused. We will not give up, we will not remain silent. ”
After the sexual abuse, the citizens shared their reactions with the hashtag #susmaşırnak (Don’t be quiet Şırnex) on social media.
