The official news outlet of the Turkish state, Anadolu Agency (AA), admitted that Turkish intelligence (MIT) is trying to save ISIS members detained in north-eastern Syria.
AA, in their article titled “MIT rescued Moldovan women and 4 children from the YPG / PKK”, admitted that the people were abducted from the Hol camp where 75,000 dangerous ISIS members are being detained.
The report confirmed that the people in question were ISIS members, and “Moldovan citizen Natalia Barkal and her 4 children were rescued by the operation of MIT, who were being forcefully kept in a camp in the north of Syria.”
Turkish intelligence freeing ISIS members
The continuation of the news includes details of how MIT made special efforts to save ISIS members, stating that a connection was formed with the prisoners with special technical equipment. The terrorists, as admitted by the state-owned outlet, were abducted from the camp and taken to occupied Gire Spi on June 6. They were later taken to Turkey.
“I am grateful to the Turkish state,” said ISIS member Natalia Barkal. “Turkey is a great country” the terrorist who was amongst the most dangerous people in the camp.
It was also noted that MIT carried out the operation of rescuing ISIS members at the request of the Moldovan government.
The North-East Syrian Autonomous Administration has already called many times on international forces whose citizens have joined ISIS to take their citizens. However, it is noteworthy that the Moldovan government asked for support from Turkish intelligence, rather than contacting North-East Syria to illegally abduct members of the jihadist gang.
Moldovan President Igor Dodon shared photos of Barkal and her 4 children who returned to Moldova from his social media account.
The Turkish state tried to save the jihadists in the camps and prisons where ISIS detainees were being held from the first day of the invasion attacks, carrying out airstrikes to the perimeters of the centres to be able to open a breach.
In July last year, detainees at the Hol camp hung hand-made ISIS flags across the camp.
