STRASBOURG, FRANCE
Kurdish youth organizing in Europe under the umbrella of Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger and Jinên Ciwan ên Têkoşer, accelerated their efforts to strengthen their organization. The young people living in Strasbourg, France, declared the opening of Martyr Rênas Avaşin Youth Commune after a meeting they held.
During the meeting held at Strasbourg DKTM which started with a moment of silence, the political process was evaluated, discussions were held on the problems created by racism around the world, as well as the genocide and occupation attacks on Kurdistan.
After these discussions, the young people, who evaluated the role and mission of the youth against the process, decided to open a commune to strengthen their struggle against the imposations of the given system.
In a meeting which was attended by 15 young people, Martyr Rênas Avasin Youth Commune was declared. The commune is formed of commissions for young women, organisation, culture, sports, and the press. The congress ended with the slogans “Bijî Serok APO”.
Cenga Heftanîn and “Bi Hev re Serhildan” moves saluted
In a new move announced by Kurdish youths on July 20, Bi Hev Re Serhildan (Revolt Together) was greeted by members of the Martyr Rênas Avaşin Youth Commune.
Young people, who wanted to draw attention to the resistance of Cenga Heftanin, to protest the Turkish occupation and genocide attacks against Kurdistan, carried out an action on the highway.
Posters of the Peoples’ Leader Abdullah Öcalan and PKK flags were opened on the road, and the youth did not allow the passage of vehicles for a while.
Young people protesting fascist attacks with slogans in French and Kurdish attracted attention by using flares during the action.
