A new magazine is set to be launched on the 8th anniversary of the revolution in Rojava, on 19 July. Lêgerîn Magazine will be publishing their first edition on their website.
Lêgerîn Magazine is a platform for the “Dissemination of the ideology on which the revolution in Rojava is based, in the ideas of Rêber Apo, the Democratic Confederalism.”
Editors of the magazine expressed the following in relation to content and idea:
“Our aim is to disseminate the material directly to collectives and youth movements and to walk side by side to advance in the anti-capitalist and revolutionary struggle; as well as disseminating actions and materials from other organized movements around the world.
Lêgerîn in kurdish means ‘The search for Freedom’. For this reason, we adopted this name. Like millions of people around the globe, we are seeking freedom and fighting for it. We hope to contribute with our materials, so that we have the right mechanisms and methods to be victorious in this struggle.”
The magazine also published a page on their website in the memory of Martyr Lêgerîn, an Argentinan warrior who joined the Kurdistan Workers Party in 2012 and was immortalised in 2018 whilst fighting against Turkish invasion in Efrin.
