BEHDINAN, SOUTHERN KURDISTAN
The Women’s United Revolutionary Movement (KBDH) shared details of actions taken against the fascist Turkish state. The movement noted that their most recent actions are “a vow of revenge for all the women who were murdered, for Pınar, Fatma, Gönül and Seher.”
The written statement shared by the Movement is as follows:
“Women are shouting ‘We are not silent, we are not afraid, we do not obey’ against the patriarchal capitalist system in the streets surrounded by harassment, rape, abuse and murders.
As women and LGBTI+, who are most affected by the increasing pressure of fascism, we will throw the patriarchal capitalist system into the trash bin of history with our own hands. Patriarchy is the strongest pillar of fascism; it forms the basis of this privately owned system. We will continue to shake its foundations.
While the fascist Turkish state has found a valid way to imprison women into houses with the corona pandemic, it has continued to reward the murderers of women by unleashing them on the streets. The balance of this process is still ongoing; 4 more women were killed in 3 days.
The state and its advocates, who have detained every woman seeking her rights in front of a factory, on the streets or on political platforms, with harassment and rape threats, say: ‘Women under the AKP government have become more present than they have ever been.”
The character of this state, which tries to annul the Istanbul Convention by attacking the rights of women, is fascism! The same government that trained soldiers and gangs in Rojava and Heftanin, rapes women in Kurdistan as part of a private war strategy.
They do not hesitate to carry out any kind of sexual torture, slaughter or threat on the women they have taken. Our response to these inhuman crimes and threats is resistance.
We will not leave the streets or positions, we will continue to ignite barricades. The last action we took in Çukurca is the vow of revenge for all the murdered women, for Pınar, Fatma, Gönül and Seher. At the same time, every burnt workplace, luxury vehicle and yacht owned by fascist collaborators in metropolitan cities is the insignia of how we will take away your patriarchal power, which you have built on exploited labor, body and identity.
Despite all your violence, we will bury the patriarchal imperialist-capitalist system in the trash bin of history.
We are the warriors who are fighting for the construction of a new life, not the victim of the violence caused by your power. We will enlarge this war even more and destroy the small and big castles of the patriarchal capitalist system.”
