ISTANBUL, TURKEY
The People’s Joint Revolutionary Movement (HBDH) militia undertook an action in which a police officer was wounded in the Bağcılar District of Istanbul’s Yüzyıl Mahallesi. In the statement made, it was noted that the three people who were detained and tortured had no relation with HBDH.
The Movement shared that their action was carried out against the sexual attacks targeting especially Kurdish children by Turkish soldiers in Şırnak and Batman.
The statement is as follows:
“In the morning hours on 18.07.2020 (Today), an armed action was organized by our HBDH Revenge Militia against a police car patrolling in the Yüzyıl neighborhood of Istanbul / Bağcılar district. Although the death and injuries were certain in the action, the number could not be clarified.
The palace press always conceals the truth from the public, as well as the truth about the content and losses caused by our actions.
The people who were tortured under the allegation that they are connected to us have no connection to our militia. Our units have safely withdrawn from the action area.
Retaliation to rape
Our action is retaliation against harassment and rape attacks against children by invading soldiers in Şırnak and Batman.
AKP-MHP fascism and its fascist powers are herds of rapists like ISIS gangs with which they are partners. Our peoples have been on the streets of Batman and Şırnak with the spirit of uprising for days. HBDH punished the police in Istanbul in response to this call by our people.
We know and warn the rapist, murderer state tradition very well. Be afraid of the anger of these people and the actions of our revolutionary forces, every day which you impose slavery with the policies of colonialism and occupation.
Wherever our barrels are, they are on the napes of these rapist gangs. Your rotten and decadent fascist state will not be able to protect you. Courts implementing fascist laws through power will not protect you. For every crime you commit against peoples, women and laborers, you will be punished by our united forces. Your barracks, army houses, security buildings that you think are sheltered will be destroyed and you will return to the rubble pile under the collapsing AKP-MHP fascist state.
The reflex of the Turkish and Kurdistani people, workers, laborers, youth and women, is the most honorable attitude to take against rapists. The language understood by rapists, murderers, torturers, invaders is the line of action that HBDH has revealed today. This line of action derives its strength from the resistance rising from Amed’s dungeons, this line of action derives its strength from the united struggle that took over the AKP-ISIS partnership in Rojava.

On the occasion of our actions, we respectfully commemorate the July 14 insurgents Mehmet Hayri Durmuş, Kemal Pir, Akif Yılmaz and Ali Çiçek, who crushed the darkness with resistance against surrendering, 38 years ago with the fire of freedom between the four walls of the dungeons of Diyarbakır.
We respectfully greet Rojava’s revolutionary warriors who spread the message of revolution to the ears of the oppressed peoples.
Fascism will be defeated and our united revolutionary struggle will win. Now is not the time for words, it’s time for action! ”
