Lawyer Ebru Timtik, who has been on death fast for 204 days with the demand for a fair trial, has fallen to 43 kilos and is having difficulty in speaking. Lawyer Şiar Rişvanoğlu called for the immediate fulfillment of the demands.
The death fast, which was initiated by the arrested lawyers Ebru Timtik and Aytaç Ünsal, with the demand for a fair trial, continues. Timtik, who entered the 204th day of her action, and Ünsal, who entered the 173rd day, have reached a critical stage.
Lawyers who are members of the Contemporary Lawyers Association (ÇHD), Lawyers for Democracy and Freedom Association of Lawyers (ÖHD) visited Timtik on July 20. ÇHD Lawyer Şiar Rişvanoğlu explained his observations after visiting Timtik.
Decaying
Rişvanoğlu said that Timtik fell to 43 kilograms and observed that wounds were forming in her throat. The lawyer shared that some parts of her hands had begun to darken, and said that she could not speak much because of the wounds in her throat.
Stating that Timtik’s morale and energy are high, Rişvanoğlu said, “She explained that these wounds cause a lot of pain and that she has difficulty in taking sugar with water because of the pain it causes when swallowing.”
