KOBANE, ROJAVA

Civilians stoned a Turkish-Russian patrol moving off from the border village of Asham in Kobane. The patrol is formed of 4 armored vehicles from each side, aided by two Russian helicopters.

The patrol is scheduled to roam the villages of “Ashma, Gargali, Janah, al-Bayadeya, Zormgar, Mashko, Binder, Qara Qawi, Qula, Sosan, Boban, Khourkhori, Dekdamsh, Qiran”, and then end in Ashma village from where it started.

Civilians living in the majority of the villages through which the convoy has passed have stoned Turkish tanks especially. The reaction of the people is an answer to Turkey’s claims that the YPG-YPJ are terrorist organisations and that invasion by Turkey in Rojava and northern and eastern Syria is a salvation.

The patrols between Russian and Turkish forces on the Syrian and Turkish-occupied Northern Kurdistan border in northern and eastern Syria are being implemented as per the decisions taken at the Sochi meeting on October 22 last year.
