HPG (Peoples’ Protection Forces) Press Center announced that its forces carried out actions in line with the Revolutionary Move of Cenga Heftanin on July 2, against the occupying Turkish army.
HPG said, “At 11.20, YJA Star forces carried out an assassination action against the invading Turkish army in the area of Şeşdara and one enemy soldier was punished.
At 19.30, our forces targeted the invading soldiers positioned on Katu Sulê Hill. The number of dead and wounded enemies in this action, in which enemy troops were put under heavy fire, could not be determined. ”
The HPG statement also included the following details:
“On July 1, border guards forces affiliated with Iraq stationed themselves in Batufa’s Kela Shabanike and Kerê districts of Derkarê. These forces stated that they came to prevent the invading Turkish army from advancing further. Along with the intense attacks of the invading Turkish state, such an initiative is thought provoking, and our forces follow the situation in the region. Until the situation here is fully understood, our forces will maintain their current position and determine the attitude according to the outcome that will emerge.
ASSASSINATION ACTION
Within the scope of the Martyr Media Mawa and Martyr Rizgar Gever Revenge move, our YJA Star forces targeted invading soldiers who tried to control the road in the Çelê Buka district of Kato Xelila in the Çatak district of Van on June 30 at 19.50. 2 soldiers in this enemy unit targeted by assassination tactics were punished.
OPERATION IN HAKKARI
On the 26th of June, the invading Turkish army launched an operation in the Kato Kavalê area of Hakkari. The invading Turkish army, which bombed the area with warplanes and assault helicopters at night, also made landings with Skorsky helicopters. The invading Turkish army retreated from the area on 27 June without any consequences.
WARPLANES
On July 2, the invading Turkish army fighter jets bombed the surroundings of the village of Yekmalê in the Gare region from the Media Defense Areas. We did not experience any loss in these bombardments. ”
