The Peoples’ Protection Forces (HPG) Press Center shared the latest details of actions taken by the guerrilla forces in Heftanîn and Şırnak against the invading Turkish army.
The HPG statement listed the actions taken by guerrillas against the occupation operation, which was launched by the terrorist Turkish army from the Media Defense Areas in the Heftanin region. “The details of the actions performed by our forces within the scope of the Revolutionary Move of Cenga Heftan are as follows:
On July 7, at 09.30, our YJA Star forces carried out an action against the invading soldiers positioned on Qesrokê Hill. In this action where an enemy shelter on the hill was hit accurately, 12 enemy soldiers were punished while the shelter was completely destroyed.
On July 8 (today) in the morning hours, our YJA Star forces carried out 2 assassination actions against the invaders in the Shishada area. In this action, 2 enemy soldiers were punished.
Also, as a result of the air attack on the Xantur area of the invading Turkish army on July 3, our comrades of Goran Goyi and Viyan Revolution reached martyrdom. The identity information of our friends who reach martyrdom will be shared with the public later.
The invading Turkish army, which launched an invasion operation in the Kani Reşê zone in the Deriyê Qaçê area of the Kato Jirka region of Şırnak, was taken under surveillence by our forces. The invading troops that were kept under surveillance for a while were shot by our forces. The number of soldiers punished and injured in this effective shot could not be determined.
Counters punished
On 5 July, our forces punished 2 counters named Sebahattin Güngör and Hejar Batmaz, who took photos of the land under the name of hunting in the Cudi mountain region, mapped the land and determined the locations of our forces and worked with the invading Turkish army. 2 rifles, 2 walkie-talkie and 1 day scope were seized from these individuals.
Airstrikes
At 7:30 p.m. on July 7, warplanes belonging to the invading Turkish army bombed the Karker and Sida areas from the Media Defense Zones in the Zap region. We did not experience any loss in these bombardments.”
