BEHDİNAN, SOUTHERN KURDISTAN
The following details were included in the description of the HPG (People’s Protection Forces) Press Center:
“As part of the Martyr Bager and Martyr Ronya Revolutionary Movement, our forces carried out a series of sabotage actions against the invaders who launched an operation between the Lelikan and Kevortê hills of the Xakurkê region from the Media Defense Areas on July 22nd.
In this action where enemy troops were hit accurately, 4 soldiers were punished and 3 soldiers were injured.
After the action, the invading Turkish army, which removed the dead and wounded soldiers from the area, retreated from the area towards the evening hours without obtaining any results. This action was performed in memory of the comrades who fought heroically against the enemy in the Revolutionary Movement of Cenga Heftanin and reached martyrdom.
On July 19, at 02.00, the invading Turkish army launched an occupation operation in the Gezrê district in the Mergêzerê area of Hakkari’s Gever (Yüksekova). There were intense clashes between the invaders who made setdowns to the area of our forces.
In these conflicts, 3 soldiers were punished while many soldiers were injured. Details about the operation, withdrawn from the area on the evening of July 21, will be shared with the public as they are obtained.”
AIRSTRIKES
Warplanes belonging to the invading Turkish army carried out air strikes against the Media Defense Zones. In this context;
“On July 21, at 15.00, warplanes bombed Derik, Mam Egid and Sêdarê villages in the Gare region.
On July 22, between 04.00 and 05.00, warplanes bombed the valleys of Gundê Enzê, Gunê Sılê, Gundê Beriyan, Şehidan and Zergelê connected to the Kandil region.
On the same day, at 16.30, fighter jets bombed the Goşine area of the Xakurkê region.
We did not experience any loss in these bombardments. ”
