“Our forces carried out actions within the scope of the Revolutionary Move of Cenga Heftanin, which is ongoing in the region against the invading Turkish army in the Heftanin region of the Media Defense Areas on July 24,” HPG said.
HPG stated the following regarding the details of the actions:
“At 9.45 am, our forces carried out an action against the occupants located in the Martyr Şilan area of the Tepê Kartal area. Our forces, which raided the enemy’s positions and shelters from 3 different arms, destroyed 2 tents and 1 surveillence camera, and punished 11 enemy soldiers.
At 16:30, our YJA Star forces carried out an assassination action targeting the invaders on Martyr Berxwedan Hill in the Xantur area. 1 enemy soldier targeted in this action was punished.
At 20:30, our forces targeted enemy soldiers in the Tepê Dupişk area. In this action where the enemy unit was effectively hit, 1 soldier was punished and 2 soldiers were injured.
ŞIFZA OPERATION
Within the scope of the Martyr Bager and Martyr Ronya Revolutionary Movement, our forces carried out an action against the invading soldiers who cut trees and made preparations in the field of Şifza, located on the border of Çelê (Çukurca) district of Hakkari.
This enemy unit, which was kept under surveillance for a while, was targeted by our forces at 11:00 on July 24. In this action, where enemy soldiers were put under heavy fire, 1 soldier was punished and 1 soldier was injured.
The occupying forces, which started a partial operation in the area following the action, retreated from the area on the same day without any results.
BAŞKALE OPERATION
On 12 July, the invading Turkish army launched a comprehensive occupation operation in the Ashkita area of Van’s Başkale district. On the 20th of July, the invading forces retreating from the area without any results were ambushed in the areas of Axula, Gozeldere, Aşkita, Sulavê and Paçan. “
