Peoples’ Protection Forces (HPG) listed the actions carried out within the scope of the “Revolutionary Move of Cenga Heftanin” against the fascist Turkish state. The statement released is as follows:
“On July 8, at 15.00, our forces carried out an assassination action against the occupiers at Martyr Cudi Hill in the Şeşdara area. In this action, 1 enemy soldier who was hit accurately was punished.
On July 9, at 14.15, our forces carried out an action targeting the invaders on Martyr Cudi Hill in Şeşdara area. In this action where the enemy positions were effectively hit, 2 positions were completely destroyed while 8 soldiers were punished and 2 were injured.
This action was organized in memory of our friends Goran, Viyan and Xabur who reached martyrdom in the Xantur area on July 3.
On the same day, at 17.00, our forces carried out an assassination action against the occupants in the Tepê Tunelê district of Şeşdara area. One enemy soldier was punished in this action. ”
The HPG continued, “In addition, on 9 July, the invading Turkish army bombed Pirbula village area with howitzer and mortars. As a result of these bombardments, material damage occurred in the vineyards and gardens belonging to the local people. ”
Indicating that the guerrilla took action against the occupants in Çukurca, HPG said, “Our forces, within the scope of Martyr Bager and Martyr Ronya Revolutionary Move, organised an action against the occupation army on the Martyr Bager Hill in the Çelê (Çukurca) district of Hakkari on July 9, at 16.30. The number of soldiers punished and injured in this action where the enemy positions and shelters were effectively hit could not be determined ”.
