Activists attacked the Georgia State Patrol headquarters in Atlanta, setting off fireworks inside the building on July 4th, the holiday that celebrates the founding of the United States by slave owners.
While smoke could be seen rising from the building, it has been reported that the racist police officers inside the building were treated with oxygen following the incident.
Uprising
Protests have taken place in Atlanta over the past month in response to the racist murders of Rayshard Brooks and George Floyd by police.
The anti-police uprising that began after the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis and spread around the United States is still ongoing. Also on July 4th, in Olympia, Washington, the City Hall and a police station were attacked by militants.
As the struggle for black liberation continues, militant actions against police and capitalist targets are expected to continue.
